Services offered

  • Gastroenterology consultations and check-ups:
    • What is a gastroenterology consultation? During a gastroenterology consultation, your gastroenterologist will discuss your medical history, current symptoms and lifestyle with you. He or she will perform a physical examination and, based on this, recommend further investigations and establish a personalized treatment plan.
  • Non-invasive investigations:
    • Abdominal and abdomino-pelvic ultrasounds to evaluate internal organs.
  • Endoscopies and colonoscopies:
    • Upper digestive endoscopy: allows visualization of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Indications: upper abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing, suspected ulcer or gastritis. Contraindications: digestive perforation, severe cardiac or respiratory problems.
    • Colonoscopy: allows visualization of the large intestine. Indications: rectal bleeding, changes in bowel transit, colorectal cancer screening. Contraindications: peritonitis, toxic megacolon.
    • Both procedures can be performed with or without sedation, depending on patient preference.
  • Advanced procedures:
    • Polypectomy: removal of polyps discovered during endoscopy or colonoscopy.
    • Fibroscan:
      • What is Fibroscan? A non-invasive method for assessing liver fibrosis and elasticity, used in the diagnosis and monitoring of chronic liver diseases.
      • Indications: chronic hepatitis, hepatic steatosis, liver cirrhosis.
      • Contraindications: bulky ascites, pregnancy, morbid obesity.
