Protecting the environment and community health is a priority for Elytis Hospital. That is why we are actively involved in collecting expired and/or unused medicines from the public.

Why is it important to collect expired medicines?

Disused and expired medicines can pollute the environment, contaminating water and soil. These active substances can get into the natural cycle and ultimately affect our health. Collecting them responsibly contributes to a cleaner and safer environment for all.

What should you do before using a medicine?

Before taking a medicine that you already have in your home, check the expiry date and make sure that the product is within its expiry date. If you have any questions about the drug's safety or effectiveness, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Where can you hand in expired medicines?

IMPORTANT: Expired and/or unused medicines can be delivered to Elytis Iasi Hospital - Gheorghe Săulescu Street 43 A.
At the reception you will receive all the details related to the delivery procedure.

When can you bring the medicines?

Expired and/or unused medication can be returned according to the following schedule:

• Tuesday: 8:00 - 16:00
• Thursday: 8:00 - 16:00
